Traveling Forensic Science Workshops

The National Law Enforcement Museum located in Washington, D.C. offers “Traveling Forensic Science Workshops” which is exactly as it is entitled. For a small fee, the museum will travel to your school and set up a multi-station forensic lab that introduces forensic science to students grades 5th through 12th. Students step into the shoes of crime scene investigators to solve a case. Student investigators will examine bloodstains, lift latent fingerprints, microscopically compare fibers, and decipher DNA profiles. The lesson concludes with the students using their new skills to solve a crime. Pretty cool! For more information visit www.nleomf.org
